Firstly: there are a number of items to this title running 2012 to 2018 - an anime adapted fm a manga. There's 2 series, the second (unseen) not that well rated, a "bridging" movie 'tween S1 &2 (unseen) and a finalisation to S1 OVA movie. S1 overly long IMO - starts genuinely sweet & even a bit amusing in an over the top way, ends as cloying, repetitive IMO (64). OVA is uneven but not bad (68). Emphasis around early teen imagination of fantasy worlds & powers. S1 is 12 eps & a special No13.

S1 loved the syndrome msg, the scott pilgrim fights, how it went from that to a club show then serious and sad then cute romance then a cool ending i dont completely like. this was the first anime humor that was really funny to me. almost got what i wanted for mori and dek. REALITY, BE RENT! SYNAPSE, BREAK! BANISHMENT, THIS WORLD!
