There is a definite 80's charm here and Selleck's massive hairy body is a definite draw for 30-40 something women, and bear lovers everywhere. His island carefree attitude and "what did I get myself into?" mentality create some funny moments, but it's pretty repetitive and silly.

For a few years I wondered if I'd simply been conditioned to dislike it from when the theme-tune signalled bed-time. Turns out it is actually crap though.
