Hard to watch. I cheated and went to the last episode just to know there is light at the end of the tunnel. Still makes you think about all the other "maids" that don't get out of the tunnel ...

A raw depiction of domestic abuse, alcoholism, poverty, and homelessness. I liked the juxtaposition of metaphors with the actual story. Great acting, good soundtrack, and a thought-out plot. Maid is a heart-wrenching and important miniseries.

Fantastic on its own terms and if you play the hilarious game of - could be a sequel to 'Groundhog Day'? even better! (Andie McDowell's character acting is superb).

Great mini-series showing how hard it is to break free from the cyclical nature of poverty, abuse, and mental illness. Characters both protagonists and antagonists are flawed and realistic. Which is a nice change from typical movies and shows. In which typically the protagonists are perfect and the antagonists are often borderline sociopaths. While there isn't a weak actor in the show. Andie MacDowell does an phenomenal job playing Alex's(Margaret Qualley) essentric unmedicated bipolar mother.
