How did I miss this?

The new Maigret films starring Rowan Atkinson are alright. Typical British crime (even if this is a French character), slow and polished. There is a lack of life in the atmosphere which prevents them from becoming must-see TV-movies, and same can be said about the Mr.Bean's 3rd entry as the French Police Inspector. There is still a underlying quality, though routine, which make them watchable, but it's not like Atkinson is taking the role by storm or growing in it.
