It's well made, but Bodin pulls all of his tricks out of the box way too early, packs them in the first episode (which genuinely scared the shit out of me) and then repeats them at nauseam, thus making it clear & obvious that the story and the characters have nothing to say or any coherence, there's no thematic underpinning this, just a box of tricks. To me, horror isn't a visual or a sound, it's character stakes and CARING about what happens to them, which didn't happen at all.

It's the premise of Misery played out as a horror series built entirely around well-executed horror set-pieces. It pulls from some modern horror conventions that I'm not much of a fan of, but executes them with its own flair and plenty of the horror moments are effectively creepy and display quite a lot of creativity.

Fun and stylish and surprising and scary! One of the best horror tv series I've ever seen!

pilot looked good...strangely there was not much suspense building (given it is a series) so nott surprisingly ep2 felt like a filler...all other eps were more or less even in nature ; quite alright series. European style with its nature shots and ambient soundscapes fits the narrative.
