Love it, mourn it. Lots of greatness in 13 short episodes. Captures the vibe of hipster city life so much better than, say, Friends. Really interesting fact: The creators of this show did NOT intend this show to be set in a stagnant, floating timeline ala Simpsons/South Park/Family Guy - characters were going to age, grow up, get new jobs, and they had a 10-year (!!) story arc planned that would eventually see protagonist Andy go from waterbed salesman to Matt Groening-esque TV cartoon creator.

There was this slew of early 2000s adult animated shows that barely lasted a season, including Undergrads, Oblongs, Clone High, etc. - and Mission Hill was one of the best. Often funny, super efficient writing, great characters, and it was the best at creating genuinely emotional connections between the characters. On top of all this was a brilliant design and aesthetic. Really a shame that Oakley and Weinstein couldn't (and still can't) catch a break with the studio for more episodes.
