BRIGHT YOU NOW. G-Gundam can be quite the kick-ass series. Its concept is silly and great and can only be done in anime. The problem with the series is its pacing. At 52 episodes, there are definitely some lulls and episodes that feel padded. Several episodes just aren't good. When it's on, though, it is on.

It might be nostalgia on my part but man this show was awesome. Loved the over the top badass monologs, the epic music, and the crazy ass fights. It's weird when put into contrast with other Gundam shows given that it drops the political, morally grey aspects of past and future shows but that allowed it to stick out more and carve its own identity.
