As a kid I really liked this show. Ernie Coombs as Mr. Dressup a Canadian. You don't see to many Canadians hit it big in any t.v show. But I remember being so captivated by him because he could draw really well.

While Americans had Mr. Rogers; Canadians had Mr. Dressup: a kind, gentle grandfatherly type who encouraged art, creativity and imagination. I loved this show as a kid, and this (and The Price is Right) was the highlight of daytime television as a Canadian kid in the 90s. It was on the air for so long that children who grew up watching it ended up watching it with their own children decades later. That owl picture in the background with the moving eyes creeped me out so much though.
