Bleak but brilliant. It feels like s1 is he as he saw himself, s2 is his daughter’s pov, s3 views him from his ex’s pov. S1 is a defense. S2 is concerned. S3 is damning. But it all feels real & honestly told. Emotionally difficult to watch after s3 ep3, but no less riveting. S1 & 2 feel like a balanced portrait of masculinity, testosterone’s primal pros & cons without really sugarcoating it. But s3 is a study in bad life decisions. It’s all amazing. A rare crime story in which death has weight.

I don't really get why this is so highly rated. The guy pretty much kills 2 people every 20 minute episode & there isn't even a cop chasing him - atleast in season 1 + the couple of episodes of S2 I watched.

Honest and up-front series about the hitman mentality, who tries to uphold a kind of justice in the world (whilst taking money to off just about anyone). Season 2 and 3 get to capitalise on the nicely built up emotion and hit hard with some incredible moments of pathos, due to the carefree, easy-going, yet impactful style of production. Scott Ryan is a revelation, and I demand to see more of his acting and writing.
