Something of a sequel-in-spirit to and inversion of Lost. This show boasts a great cast and an intriguing premise that sucks you into its invented world. That said, it's tonally uneven--often delivering extemely touching moments of poignancy completely out of nowhere, at other times waffling into eye-rolling melodrama. Still, it's a shame that it got cancelled--despite its flaws it showed a lot of promise and I could envision it hitting its stride in a season or two, just like Lost did.

The idea is pretty cool, and the actors here do a good job, but I think the season is stretched out for too many episodes. I think cutting it down a couple episodes could have helped tremendously. It's too bad it was canceled, because it was finally delivering on the interesting stuff when the season ended.

What a shame this isn't being renewed, because not only was the series very entertaining and beautifully acted, but also left a load of unanswered questions which a new series would have dealt with. That said, I am aways in two minds about follow ups which rarely match the expectations set up in the first. As things developed this had everything a true sci-fi needed, but it also had the amazing chemistry of two great actors showing just how to act "normally" which gave everything credibility.
