Northern Exposure meets Murder, She Wrote. My standard epithet for crappy, simplistic, manipulative TV movies with no visual style is "Lifetime", but this IS a Lifetime TV movie, so using it here would lack some of the punch...

It's your typical made-for-TV slop, with crummy performances, a weak plot and some hilarious scenes of very average actors trying very hard to impress. That said at least the director knows where to point a camera and the editor wasn't a retarded chimpanzee, which is much more than you get from some TV movies!
