Carlin's looking much more polished (and theatrical) in his second HBO special, although after the first 25 minutes new gags are few and far between. There's tweaking of jokes here and there and some of the recycling is just down to crowd-pleasing, although after the opening you'd prefer to hear more of his new clever innuendos and euphemisms. Objectively it's probably a better performance than his screen debut, but I can't ignore the fact that most of the show consists of the same material.

This show is my introduction with George Carlin. There are not much 'haha' jokes in it, but I found him more intelligent than most stand-up comedians. Slightly dated too.
