SPOILERS The first half was a lot less boring this time because I knew both the twist and the characters, there was more humor and I think it was shorter as well. The directors daughter story was good, especially how subtly she ended her relationship by saying those movie lines and the wave goodbye at the end. The novelty is mostly gone though which is a big part of what made the previous movie good. Also the american actors and the how the movie looks (in the second half) could be better

Feels more like a parody of the original One Cut of the Dead than a spin-off, but it's still kinda fun if you don't take it seriously. I suspect I missed at least one joke due to watching it with English subtitles rather than Japanese :)

The appeal is basically gone now. This doesn’t really bring anything new to the table. If you’ve seen the first one, this is a weaker rehash. Shorter, less effective and not as interesting.

This still has heart but the trope already feels old. I hope they don't make any more or at the very least turn it into a series as I think that would work better.
