it gets the 100 when its finished

It is tough to rate something when people require you to watch 100 episodes until it "starts to get good"

This is basically impossible to rate. The series has been ongoing for decades now, and the animation quality is all over the place. It's hard to recommend as it would literally take someone weeks and weeks of full-time watching to catch up. And that would mean watching filler episodes and all the rest. And not all arcs are created equal, either. Still, it's great. Would recommend reading the manga instead (still take you forever) and watching individual scenes or episodes on YouTube.

Rating this for the manga, which is fantastic.

Loooooota filler episodes. But this one has a special place in my heart.

It loses a bit of points due to the anime's pacing and other problems. If this was a review of the manga, it would probably be higher.

Seen up to episode 180. Quality varies but the best arcs, like Alabasta, are absolutely amazing.

A truly epic series with unique characters, amazing abilities, a vast world, and reasons for fighting...until it isn't. The series really goes downhill after Water 7 / CP9 as plots become dragged out seemingly forever and the animation quality / style has a drastic drop. Still worth watching as there is lots of great content before it becomes mediocre / bad.

Fun in the beginning, has gotten ridiculous and repetitive since.
