Rent: Filmed Live on Broadway

Not that different from the film adaptation. Something about the way this $100/seat Broadway Musical romanticizes poverty angers me in a way I can't articulate, and the entire play is so strongly rooted in this 1990s Gen X Zeitgeist anyways that it feels more dated than many much older musicals. I get why this is an LGBTQ classic, but we really deserve to be represented in better musicals than this.
