The Ricky Williams story is a sad one, but it's also a good one. It's sad that he wasn't able to tame his own demons. It's even more sad how how he was treated by many in the media.

One of the more quiet and subdued of the 30 for 30 series, this doc both benefits and suffers from its attempt to keep a distance from the subject. Ultimately, it feels like a win as you get an outsiders perspective on Ricky while still getting as close as you can without biasing perception. Ultimately, it leaves a lot of questions unanswered. However, it asks many questions that are not meant to be answered by the film but rather by the viewers themselves.

Not a great doc, which is a shame considering how incredible of a person Ricky Williams is.

Ricky was a damn good running back to bad he lost his mind smoking weed.

Cool documentary about one of the more interesting athletes of my generation and (more indirectly) how inflammatory/full of bullshit the sports media world is.
