I have no objection to its mournful nostalgia for a certain kind of civilised British bemused uprightness, but in this episode the political themes are rather left behind, yet less for the sake of any narrative drive than out of a feeling of needing to get the story over and done with. The "human" elements of the drama are, as in the previous instalments, rather sketchily and unconvincingly drawn. Not without compensations but failed really to justify the viewer's investment.

A competent end to the trilogy. A bittersweet conclusion to the story, that is fairly apt. It manages to create a "happy" ending without falling too heavily into the cliche of the singular force of nature bringing everything to justice and wrapping it up in a nice neat bow. Some of the twists were predictable while others not, in a good balance. It didn't fail to entertain, and the drop-off in quality was not as large as in other sequels.

This one was shaping up better but towards the end the 'soapy' aspects dragged some of them out of character a bit. Probably my favourite of the 3 though.
