Far better than I expected for a random TV special riding on the coattails of a well-known song. A strong cast, full of talented black musicians and including a child actor who's cute without being annoying; the songs are enjoyable, and the titular number actually fits in the story; and the moral is about community-building, people from different walks of life coming together and supporting each other. In a genre that's often about extremely white nuclear families above all, that's special.
