Sarah Silverman: Someone You Love

It may well be that Silverman is just too much of a known quantity at this point (especially thanks to her high profile social media usage), but there seems to be a lack of genuine oomph and invention to this stand-up set which gives it a feeling of reserve and familiarity – her normal beats are here, and handbrake turns into shock comedy, but it really does feel as if we have visited this well one too many times, straddling the line of “woke” comedy and Chappelle-like renouncement.
