Saving Grace

In preparation for this one we had already watched the original Japanese version of this series, Mother (2010). And talk about different cultures. While Mother is gentle toned-down drama, the Philippines version Saving Grace pours it on thick! That's so Filipino. Every scene designed to draw out as many tears as possible. And when not tears, it's suspense an action. So if a subtle and quiet drama you want, go with Mother. If it's action, suspense and a sob story, Saving Grace is your choice.
