Season 1 got a bit repetitive. Betty Brant was one of the better characters but practically disappears at the end of season 1. Spider-Man was practically Green Lantern with all the ridiculous things he could do with his web. The Origin of Spider-Man was pretty good. The reuse of shots got ridiculous later and many villains became green for no apparent reason. They stopped animating and just remixed old episodes to make new episodes.

This is actually good as they showed you spider man's different enemies throughout this show. Episodes were good and well written. Only problem it lacked story continuity.

There's something quaint about this show since it was made before a lot of major story arcs in Spider-Man existed and it was running on a flimsier foundation, but the show had a lot of fun villain of the week scenarios that's elevated by just how ham-fisted it all was.
