Strike

First season: really good and interesting with vivid characters and reasonably intricate, reality-based mysteries. Second season departs entirely into corporate trash. I hate "Harry Potter" almost as much as Apple and Google but "Robert Galbraith" did a great job of being a transgender mystery writer here, and the screenwriters in the first season improved it. The second season obviously the committee came in as it always does with UK/US TV and hosed everything.

Interesting detective cases, and probably the best chemistry I have seen between two main characters.

Burke and Grainger are both perfect casting for their roles, and as in Rowling's (sorry, Galbraith's) novels, it's the interactions between Cormoran and Robin (rather than the cases they investigate) that are the main draw of the series.

The cases are mildly amusing with mediocre clues and investigation. Cormoran and Robin are interesting characters on their own, but as partners or a potential couple - they are as boring as watching paint dry.

Really relies on Burke and Grainger to drag the scripts along, but I do want to see more of these too. Less of the will they/ won't they.
