Good intentioned man tries desperately to make a change in an absurd world full of chaos and people thinking of their own interests only. I guess it is good to at least know the context and how the author of the work it was based on did it on purpose to make sure the main character is not happy for long, else a clueless person might find it over the top and melodramatic. The ending felt a bit rushed though.
