Taken in Plain Sight

I had this pegged for a Lifetime movie in the first oh, about.. 5-10 minutes after someone put it on. Low budget. Bad wig on mom. No characterization of the daughter to endear her before she's abducted, or the mom, or anyone else for that matter. Thinking and reading aloud. Stupid subplot where she lies to her husband for no reason about what she's doing. It's so sterile that in this day and age, I'd almost accuse it of being AI.
