Poignant, emotionally devastating portrait of a terrifying and ugly Münchhausen-by-proxy case is made unforgettable by King and Arquette's beautifully and subtly rendered performances; King may edge it out, especially in the latter stages when she infuses her Gypsy with the same worrying domineering traits of Arquette's Mommie Dearest. Well crafted, incisive and moving, this uses the mini-series format well, to create fully formed and sympathetic portrayals of its two nightmare characters.

The fictionalized version of this bizarre real life story is brought to life by two incredible performances from Arquette and King. The issue this series faces is pacing. There is a lot of substance but after the Act is committed ironically enough the series loses a lot of the intrigue. Still a very creepy and well scripted series with the lighting and cinematography done to near perfection. It's a shame that could have been a much tighter narrative hinders such a visually disturbing show.

Loses some momentum as it catches up to the beginning, but interesting story overall and strong performances from the cast.

Kind of cheesy, but pretty good!

Started out very good, but the latter half felt dragged out. Münchhausen.

Nicely directed and Patricia Arquette and Joey King acted very well. Enjoyable.
