This documentary underserves its protagonist. Hoffman is one of, if not the, forefathers of the sport. This story told here is pretty barebones and doesn't do anything I haven't seen in dozens of other action sports docs. If you're a fan of the sport, definitely worth seeing for all the footage (you could just as easily watch it on mute), but should be skipped by anyone that doesn't already enjoy bmx.

I did not know anything about this BMX sport nor had I any interest about learning anything about it but I happened to dl the movie and watch it and it was terrifying. It is just like a horror movie except that you know that this is for real. I wanted to close my eyes from time to time. I wish all the sanity and luck there is to the performers of this sport.
