I didn't like it. I am biased as a cat lover and found it unwatchable after a certain point (wasn't Stuart Gordon cruel enough to cats already in Re-Animator?). But even before that, I thought the tacky, overly sleek presentation belied weak writing and a disappointing characterization of Poe.

Wasn't great, wasn't horrible. Combs was decent and there were some unsettling moments near the end. But otherwise pretty forgettable.

This was decent but you set yourself a high bar when you throw around the name Edgar Allan Poe.

Nice episode that adapts a tale by Poe having also him as a character. Some effects could have been done better, but overall the story and the way it's told works. It has a part when it slows a bit but it recovers for the end.

BlurayRip GUACAMOLE.

Very cool Masters of Horror episode! Some amazing acting by Jeffrey Combs who plays Poe. I love the mindf*cks where the cat seems to heal the piano and Poe's wife. Also, I must say, I really loved the atmosphere: very dark and with little to no colour. Good job using colour filters! One of the better Masters of Horror episodes.

Stuart Gordon seems to dislike cats... At least in this movie, the "cat actors" all remained healthy (which was not the case in re-animator which featured a real dead cat, which somehow makes me as a cat friend like the movie a little less)

The cat was really pretty, but I have nothing positive to say about the rest of the movie.
