Wish I'd just read the book. Although engaging at first, it becomes painfully clear in ep 3 & 4 that this misses so much in-depth information from the book that it ends up being a big confusing and unsatisfying mess.

Unbelievably disappointing for someone who's a fan of the book. By far it's biggest crime is they've turned the main character from a good detective just doing his job into a walking cliché from every television or film detective you've ever seen. The actual rendering of the cities, which I thought might be impossible to get across on screen, is done quite well. I'm curious to see what people who haven't read the book think. I suspect it might make almost no sense.

Nice ideas but confusing delivery - I suspect from trying to get a book into so few episodes.
