These docu-series tend to be quite a bit longer than they need to be nowadays but this remains engaging throughout. The way the filmmakers present/withhold key information at certain points to be revealed later could be considered a bit manipulative but it does make for good storytelling on a broader narrative level.

This promising docuseries is largely as unsatisfying as the evidence uncovered in the case it explores. The promising and fascinating moments that occur are overshadowed by poor pacing, a baffling progression, and overly emotional exposition.

I want to know why the dogs weren't brought in for questioning and subsequently charged.

It is a bit repetitive. Interesting to rewatch every time new evidence comes out.

So fucking slow, it's literally mind-numbing. The paucity of actual information contained should have taken around a quarter the time to present...liberal amounts of fluff are injected, one assumes, to get an emotional rise from the viewer. I happened to be visiting Portugal at the time and remember the case, this after living there for several years previously. The incompetence, sluggishness and mendacity of the Portuguese police portrayed here are absolutely true-to-life.

This doc series goes on for far too long. What could have been told in about two hours took eight.
