The Ghost in the Shell - Season 1

During a raid on a meeting with a foreign representative that he suspects involves corruption and criminal activity, Public Security's Daisuke Aramaki encounters a mysterious cyborg. Introducing herself as Motoko Kusanagi, the cyborg proposes the formation of a new special forces unit to the Minister of Internal Affairs. Aramaki asks Kusanagi to investigate something as a first step.

Kusanagi and her team are assigned their first mission, which is to investigate an orphanage on suspicion of using an illegal Ghost controller to brainwash the orphans in their care.

After a high-speed chase led by the Fuchikomas, Kusanagi and Togusa take the suspect into custody. Aramaki and Batou are monitoring the situation, the hacker known as 'Puppet Master', suspected of having introduced the virus. (imdb)
