We revisit the idea of cooking competition but this time the heartwarming comfort is a constant rather simply a forced moment through interviews and tearful goodbyes. It replaces fast aggressive cuts and pacing with a slower and easy going nature. The harsh criticisms of the judges are plainly stated and helpful rather than biting, harsh, and cutting. If you like cooking shows, particularly competitive ones, this is pleasant, silly, and relaxing.

A rather wholesome cooking competition show. a nice contract from the cutthroat nature of the vast majority of American cooking competition shows. The show follows a nice slow paced template where there is a theme for the week and 3 challenges for the bakers to compete in with first place winning "Star Baker" and last place getting eliminated. The judges in particular Paul can be harsh at times but despite the sometimes harsh judging the show still maintains it's wholesomeness.

It's a really good show. I love watching peoples' creations come into being, and learn the details of so many different recipes. So stressful though, the tears!

[s1-7] surprisingly continuously entertaining. pretty wholesome despite the harsh judging. one gets the impression an American version would be a lot worse.

Good show. Neat structure. Striking for how not ageist it is compared to a lot of pop-culture content in the US (the subject matter does play a role in this).
