The Ice House

Last and weakest of the Christmas Ghost Story series. It suffers the loss of Lawrence Gordon Clark, because it's incapable of sustaining any atmosphere. The weird story is kind of fascinating, though it feels more at home in something like Are You Afraid of the Dark.

While this entry generally gets relegated to a footnote, it creates an atmosphere of sexual repression and confusion and melancholy that has the same bizzaro parallel to Daughters of Darkness, in the best way possible. I found myself disturbed by its sexual tension the whole way through, and holding my breath more than I care to admit.
