This was obviously inspired by Carrie, and didn't really bring anything new to the party. That being said, it was quite enjoyable. Despite it being a TV movie, the production values were decent, and the cast was good; there was some fun to be had in Winters go off the reservation. Perhaps not as tight as it could be, but watchable enough.

Perhaps the first true attempt to cash in on Carrie, it's as shameless & lazy a ripoff as you'll ever find. That said, the performances are pretty solid- especially from Lenz, Fairchild, Brittany, & the delightfully cheesy Shelley Winters. Sadly, the story & characters are pretty bleh & the real conflict is never even explained properly. It ends abruptly & without any sort of satisfying wrap-up, which didn't work for me either. It's endearingly cheesy to an extent, but there's better out there.
