It's hard to imagine how low the lows could get but The Iron Throne is a doozy of awfulness that is almost hard to imagine. Every character is ruined by the end. Every storyline is bungled. Every idea this show once had is squandered into absolute nothingness. This episode can't even do us fans the mercy of a quick death as we are treated to another 80-minute disasterclass where you could easily leave 20 minutes on the cutting room floor.

The lords laughing at Sam's preposterous proposal for Westeros to implement democracy almost made it worth my time. I agree with the majority that this is one of the biggest finale fumbles in television history.
