A grim story of injustice almost buried under repetitious scenes of people reliving the horrors that were done to them, and endless DSLR-shot close-ups with a faulty auto-focus. I don't write this to belittle what happened, but more to point out that the message would have stood out clearer, and thus have made more noise with a less sluggish approach.

Decent documentary that however can't make up the story it wants to tell. That of the murder of sister Cathy or the methodical abuse by catholic priest of children and the subsequent coverup.

Fascinating, disturbing and heart-wrenching saga is somewhat hobbled by its ungainly construction – the mid-section dealing extensively with recitations of sexual abuse feels unbalanced and unwieldy; much better and quite captivating when it relates specifically to Sister Cathy’s murder, though an encounter with one key suspect lands uneasily when its clear their mental faculties are somewhat hindered. Worthwhile for the procedural aspects, and our lead “detectives” are terrific protagonists.
