Kyon, your typical high school student, has long given up his belief in the supernatural. However, upon meeting Haruhi Suzumiya, he quickly finds out that it is the supernatural that she is interested in--aliens, time travelers, and espers among other things. When Haruhi laments about the lack of intriguing clubs around school, Kyon inspires Haruhi to form her own club. As a result, the SOS Brigade is formed, a club which specializes in all that is the supernatural. (myanimelist.net) Episode List

Arguably the most overrated anime ever made. A cast full of unlikable, one-note characters, the only exception being Kyon, and comedy with far more misses than hits. Not to mention it's sometimes extremely pretentious and just plain boring, too.

was not what was expected from the information i gathered about it before watching, was expecting something cerebral, exploration of hypothetical situations to do with a character that is god that does not know they are. Didnt turn out that way, and am disappointed for that. As a show its more miss than hit, but strangely the hits almost made up for it. Not as mad at endless 8 as others, as that was more concept exploratory than the rest. mostly just a decent setup for the far better film.

Extremely dull while also being extremely pretentious, (seriously, what is the purpose of ordering the episodes out of order?) this is an anime that will grate you more than anything. I also hate it because it help popularized some genuinely awful trends in anime in the future.
