The new Watson is an awfully dull actor, but Brett keeps the energy high, and is brilliant as before.

These stories are the best Sherlock adaptations to this day. The show is probably not very suitable to audiences who only watch modern productions, but if you have at least a little taste for the 80s and 90s and are interested in the Holmes stories then this show is a must watch for you and it will not disappoint you. Enjoy! ;-)

Jeremy Brett is still a lot of fun, but he seems to be having weight issues. Edward Hardwicke is a decent Dr. Watson but not as good as David Burke. This series is a bit uneven but the full length TV movies more than make up for the dull episodes.
