I feel like I should like it more because its quite well written and performed. But it's never really done it for me and Ralf Little is an unwatchable little twat.

A terrific and constantly funny exposé on the quintessential British family. There's not only confidence in how minimalist this comedy can be staged (most of the show is watching the family watching TV) to focus on the writing and acting instead, but also in how slyly critical it can be of the typical British family and their laziness, lack of culture, and lack of self-awareness.

my dad's side of the family resembles this pretty closely - even my grandma's house was similar - so i give it credit for that. it's kinda boring, but only in the way that people are generally pretty boring.
