Let the whitewashing commence. Blair is still the adorable Bambi from The Queen, oddly bereft of fits of prayer and megalomania.

The Peter Morgan Recipe: Step 1: Take a historical political person (Queen Elizabeth, Nixon, Clinton). Step 2: Take another historical person, preferebly played by Michael Sheen, to cross swords with the first person (Blair, Frost, Blair). Step 3: Take a historical event to make it important (Diana's Death, Watergate, War in Kosovo). Mix it all up nicely and you've got a movie :) Quaid is by the way amazing (but so was Mirren and Langella...)

Blair was portrayed very well in this film, but the actor portraying Clinton doesn't look like him

It's well performed but it felt a bit airy. As if the film were saying "Well, I'm sure you all remember this part" I only sort of do though

Well performed political drama especially by - and I can't believe I'm saying it - Quaid. Its easily watchable, just looks rather bland even for politics and Morgan's screenplay seems to leave Blair rather unchanged which doesn't seem to ring true.

Not that dramatically powerful and doesn't have much to say about the Clintons, but does have an interesting perspective on Tony Blair.

The mix of original footage and the "faked" ones kinda threw me off at first, and I thought the film was a bit too soft on Blair. Still an interesting movie though and worth a watch.

It's an interesting topic with some excellent performances, particularly by Quaid. But it's a bit clunky and ham fisted, lacking Morgan's steady hand as director. I think this would become better in hindsight with an examination of Blair's relationship with George Bush.
