Many extra points for the beautiful Kate Beckinsale and good cinematography. The pacing is often too slow and it has a stupidly jumbled and confusing timeline. Bits and pieces were exciting. I disliked so much untranslated foreign language. It has a few glaring inconsistencies. The overall story was satisfying but told haphazardly.

Kate Beckinsale is so miscast in this, that the plausibility of the whole series is completely undermined for the outset. One minute we have someone who can't stand up on a Welsh hillside, and who looses their luggage in an African Airport through sheer incompetence .. the next a gun toting manifestation of Lara Croft who pits her (unarmed) self against a ruthless army General without so much as a decent lipstick. Acting does not, imho, solely revolve around "panting" to simulate nervous tension
