Felt thin, pointless and took too long to make any point at all. Still sorta fun to watch but really only if you've watched everything else.

I don't think it's as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Sure, in the 4th episode the Witcher looked like Quasimodo, but besides that it was pretty decent.

I watched to the end, so it must have some redeeming qualities. Initially it seemed very cliche ish and unoriginal. Then as you go on you realise its ALL cliches! Scenes, plot points, Props.. So it turned into a game of spot the rip off. Heres my count: Witcher (original), Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Thor, Magician ( Feist), Crouching Tiger HD, Captain America, X Men 2. I started watching cos Michelle Yeoh was in it, then ended wondering why she agreed to be in it.

Pretty bad, but nowhere near bad enough to warrant its reputation as an all-time bust. You've got your Locke and Keys, your Manifests, etc. right there on Netflix, being at least as bad on average while also not being mercifully short at just four episodes.

I don't really know what so many people hated about this. Is it as good as the main Witcher series? Of course not, but that doesn't mean it's bad either. There's a story that's okay, and plenty of great action and visuals, and I think by the end the story does enhance my understanding of the world.

So many things about this show were good that I can forgive most of the bad. The creature concept and art direction were 10/10. The casting & acting was solid. The dialogue was pretty in keeping w/ the main Witcher series (hit or miss, occasionally a cheesefest, but often witty, poignant & heartfelt). The characters had chemistry, the backstories were compelling. There were plot holes, rushed parts, tropes, silly fight scenes, deus ex machina, etc. but it was fun. Too many maudlin dirges.

It's odd. At 4 episodes it is somehow too long and too short. Too short with the ground to cover, too long in how they cover it. If you get Michelle Yeoh, then use her properly. I'll struggle to remember this.
