This Beat Goes On: Canadian Pop Music in the 1970s

Of all the things you or I needed to see or hear in a music documentary, Sam Roberts extolling the genius of Randy Bachman is surely beneath the bottom of the list. Even further below that, the words "Valdy springs out of the fertile west coast like a towering redwood." And isn't "Gary McGroarty" just the perfect fucking SCTV name for the kind of guy who would make such a documentary? But at least they remembered Kate and Anna. And the punk section is good.
