Some really funny moments but also many forgettable / not up to the usual Partridge standard ones

This is the perfect era for an Alan Partridge rehash. Watching him fumble, stumble and fall through political landmines on live TV while keeping to the old adage 'the show must go on' is conceptually enjoyable. This will become more humorous the older and out of touch the AP character gets really. Highlight is the Irish folk song from the farmer look alike & of course the no hands toilet visit.

Great to see Alan back live on BBC TV. Can he avoid screwing it up? Coogan is great and, as many have said, he's more believable as Partridge now that he's older. The series is hit and miss, but there are many high points.
