Truman

The story of an extraordinary president, making some of the biggest decisions of the 20th century. The film is fluid and never dull, and Gary Sinise delivers a solid performance. However, it may be just a little bit too "presidential" to be a really good film. It feels not much different than any other biopic of a great leader, and I am told that it leaves out some of the sauciest details of Truman's actual biography.

Might be Sinise's best role.

Drops the ball on the atomic bomb scene, which feels super-detached when it's clearly trying to be powerful and full of gravitas. That said, Gary Sinise does make for an excellent Harry Truman.
