I tried to get into this but with the back and forth storytelling and flashbacks add in the dirty cops and cover ups especially In the Biggie Smalls investigation.I gave up after five episodes

Doesn't really add anything for anyone who knows this story well, but it's a good nostalgic step into the past and recap on the main events surrounding these two infamous shootings. The non-linear structure takes an episode or two to get into, the actors' resemblance is up and down (Tupac yay, Puffy nay), and the soundtrack - early on at least - is terrific. The final few episodes feel less focused, and the series comes to an end just around the time it starts overstaying its welcome.
