When You're Lost in the Darkness

Great set up to the show, does a good job of building on the tension of the impending virus, without descending completely into zombie movie tropes we have seen before. I like the somber tone the show takes from the beginning.

Standard Biblical Apocalypse episode. Physically dead children and emotionally dead adults. Shows off its budget as you would expect. Prestige Television 101. On a personal note I was talking at work about this and people were somehow surprised at the symbolism and I was reminded of and quoted Isaiah: “But your dead will live; their bodies will rise - let those who dwell in the dust wake up and shout for joy - your dew is like the dew of the morning; the earth will give birth to her dead.”
