Having memorable secondary characters from Californication both helps and hurts the show. It provides a throwback to one of my all time faves but it also reminds me nothing can be Californication because it lacks David Duchovny and that character just cant be replicated. Fortunately Floyd Mooney in his own regard is a character we want to see succeed and his antics make for good comedy.

This suffers from Showtime-itis, a lot of effing and jeffing in place of comprehensible dialogue, because hey nudity and profanity sells. Suck my fucking nigger fucking dick motherfucking motherfucker, shit nigger fucking cocksucker. How about some jokes instead
