Actually, I would be someone who would defend such more complex "mysteries" stuff...... but Wild Palms simply sucks and that's mainly because the characters are neither interesting nor really quirky or likable in any way. You can't force something like this as it clearly tries to do here in order to approach Twin Peaks without understanding what made it tick. That coupled with an extremely dull story that lacks suspense from second one and poor acting makes Wild Palms an ordeal !

I saw series long time ago, around 1993. Series' got promising opening chapter, a strong Twin Peaks influence. The rhino inside the empty pool looked really nice. But the rest of the parts were more and more deep downhill and the end sucked in big scale. I have no intention to rerun series; that'll prob. lower points radically more.

M: 25/100 S 10/100 Mike: Not a movie, but not good. Bombastic and pretentious with terrible acting and a really dumb, predictable story written by third graders. Reminded me that I have pretty much hated every single thing Oliver Stone has touched. Don't watch it! Sophia: Jim (I'm sorry "James" for this one) Belushi should have his acting license revoked for this one.
