Wonders of the Solar System

There really isn't quite anything like watching Brian Cox and his amazing hair stare wistfully into the night sky, while he says the word wonderful in an adorable accent. I am, however, deducting point for the music, which alternated between big epic action scene scores and some annoying guitar rock themes.

if you like to think about what's out there then this is a cracking little series. Brian Cox is always a likeable presence, excellent at presenting the information to you.Everyone's favourite Oldham born keyboard playing science nerd. Anything that makes you wonder while on the following day's commute on where that methane comes from on Mars or what that massive ocean on Europa contains has got to be a thumbs up.

Another of these made for re-sale bbc docs, all travel and talking down, can't be arsed.

Well judged series with broad appeal. Cox is excellent at these.
