Like most WWE attempts at patriotism, WrestleMania VII's characterizations of America's putative enemies smells redolent of nativism, nationalism, and xenophobia. The event also loses its distinct style without Jesse Ventura's tongue-in-cheek, mustache-twirling villainy. But the matches keep a steady flow. Like WrestleMania III, the main event actually ended up one of the weaker matches, with mid-card talent bringing their relative best efforts.

Main event here Hulk vs Slaughter and Taker's WM debut is what you'll remember here. Again not everyone has a music entrance. All other matches are trash. No importance no follow up etc. Miss Elizabeth featured again and this time Sherri gets highlighted as she is with Savage then beaten by Liz then goes with the Million Dollar man. Their cheap attempt to make fun of football with the instant replay, I thought that was uncalled for. Why even bring that up when wwe always had instant replay.
